Welcome to the United Methodist Church of Holyoke, South Hadley and Granby.  We believe that God loves us for who we are, exactly as we are and celebrate our diversity with open doors and open hearts to all who seek the peace of Christ beyond understanding.  As you read this, we pray you will feel the warmth and sincerity in our welcome.

           Worship service is in the sanctuary and also on Zoom every Sunday morning from 10:00 to about 11:00.  As important as spiritual nourishment is through prayer and scripture, music and hymns are also our way we give glory to God when we worship together.  It is with caution we tell you that our pastor has a sense of humor and is not afraid to use it.  Since we are in a full disclosure mode, Pastor Joe was born in the Bronx, grew up in Queens, and is a Yankee fan.  Because forgiveness is a cornerstone in our faith tradition, we are trying really hard.    

            Community outreach is our passion, defining our church not by its physical boundaries but by all we meet on the street.  With substance disorders and suicidal ideations rising at alarming rates, it is our mission to let everyone know they are worthy of God’s love – and especially their own.  Life is tough and we can be our own worst judge and critic.  If you’re struggling, angry with God, angry with yourself, or just given up hope, Pastor Joe would love to meet you.

            Had some bad experiences in the past and not sure you’re ready to come back to church?  We understand and humbly ask you try us one Sunday morning.  No commitments, no pressure, no interrogations – just a heartfelt thank you for stopping by.  What do you have to lose?  You may find the peace and acceptance you’ve been searching for is right here at our doorstep.
